Born November 28, 1988. He grew up watching his obstetrician father, making him feel close to life’s beginning and thought, “someday I want to become an obstetrician like my father.” He carries a will to contribute, even in small ways, to increasing Japan’s population.

Profile
He began his obstetrics and gynecology career under the guidance of Dr. Osamu Tsutsumi at Sanno Hospital, engaging in deliveries, pregnancy management, general infertility treatment, and IVF. At the Maternal–Fetal Intensive Care Unit (MFICU) of Saitama Medical University General Medical Center, he handled high-risk pregnancies, maternal transport, and life-saving interventions for mothers. Based on his experience managing acute changes (e.g. massive bleeding during labor), he developed the belief that “to run a safe obstetrics practice, one must be able to care for the whole body.” To train in systemic management, he entered the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Tokyo. At the University of Tokyo Hospital, he provided anesthesia not in obstetrics, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, respiratory surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, robot-assisted surgery, and transplantation (heart, liver, lung, kidney). He also worked in the ICU and pain clinic.

Profile
Chairman Keisho Ushimaru also serves as a gynecologist. He is the father of Director Soshi Ushimaru. He formerly lectured at Nagasaki University’s Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, and has a career of over half a century. He has attended more than 50,000 births. From childhood, Director Ushimaru was often told, “The child you delivered (years ago) has grown so much now,” which left a lasting impression and inspired him to pursue obstetrics himself.
